Free for indie films
Making a film with no money in it? Use any of our songs in it, free. Credit us, and that is the whole deal.
The deal
You may
- Put any of our songs, or its instrumental, in your film: whole or cut, looped, faded, under dialogue or over the credits.
- Show the film at festivals, in class, at screenings, and online for free, on YouTube, Vimeo or your own site. Festival entry fees, prize money and crowdfunding the production are all fine.
- Use clips of the film with the song in them in its trailer and in posts about the film.
- Keep all of this for as long as the film exists, anywhere in the world. You do not need to ask first.
Not included
- A film that is sold, rented, or licensed for money: to a distributor, a streamer or a broadcaster, or behind a paywall. The same goes for ad revenue on the upload.
- Advertising, branded content, or anything made to sell a product, a service or a political campaign.
- The music on its own: releasing it, selling it, or registering it with YouTube Content ID or any other fingerprinting service.
If money shows up later
If your film gets picked up for paid distribution, email us before you sign. We will license it for the new deal on terms an indie budget can meet, and nothing you have already done needs undoing.

If YouTube or anyone else flags your film over our song, email us the link and we will clear it. If the film is ever broadcast, list the song on its cue sheet: written by Anthony Tedesco (ASCAP).
This permission is given by Anthony Tedesco, who wrote the songs and owns them and the recordings outright. The recordings come as they are.
